Holiday Volunteer Opportunities This Weekend! 12/22 – 12/24

Show solidarity with Sandy Survivors through the holidays. Here are a few things happening this weekend!

520 Clinton

Gift-wrapping and Card-making Party for Kids

  • Saturday, December, 22nd, 10am-3pm
  • 520 Clinton Ave.

Wrap gifts and make holiday cards for children affected by Hurricane Sandy. We have toys, wrapping paper and art supplies but feel free to bring your own presents and materials. There will be cookies and hot drinks.


Rockaway Community & Occupy Sandy Holiday Party

  • Saturday, December 22, 5:00 pm – 9:00 pm
  • St. Camillus Church, 99-15 Rockaway Beach Boulevard, Rockaway Park, NY

Music & Dance Party for Rockaway residents & Occupy Sandy volunteers, featuring pop singer Sterling Infinity & Evolution (, and DJs Prince Klassen & Chris Devlin. In the gym adjacent to St. Camillus Church, on Beach 100th Street between Rockaway Beach Blvd. & Shore Parkway. For all Rockaway residents and volunteers—free of course!

Pre-Festive Clean-Up in the Rockaways

More than a month after the hurricane many people still haven’t been able to go home. Others with breathing difficulties, elderly and very young, are living with mold in their homes that needs to be treated. Help people get back to their lives before the holidays and join us for a big clean-up this weekend. Sign up!

Holiday Festivity & Potluck at 33rd St and Beach Channel Drive

  • Monday, December 24th, 12PM
  • Arrive at 10AM at 520 Clinton Ave to carpool. Bring Vehicles if possible.

We’ll need volunteers to give out toys for kids and to serve food. We’re also putting together a variety show for everybody. Get in touch with if you have something you would like to contribute. Meal donations can be delivered to 461 99th St (at Ft. Hamilton Parkway) Brooklyn, NY.

Bay Ridge

Cook Holiday Meals

  • Sunday, December 23rd, 8am – 6pm
  • Bay Ridge Kitchen, 461 99th St (at Ft. Hamilton Parkway) Brooklyn

Prepare and cook meals for the holidays to be delivered to our relief sites and volunteers.
