New York Cares + Attention USA have partnered to encourage users to support New York Cares’ Sandy relief efforts and year-round volunteer programming through a curated visual and shareable experience.

We witnessed tremendous conversation spikes immediately after the storm but, unfortunately, this decreased exponentially once the communication vacuum was filled by the next crisis. Sadly, this ebb in conversation religiously correlates to an ebb in donations and volunteerism. Driven by social behavior examination and data around the volume of conversation, this effort hopes to increase action and help get ALL New Yorkers back on their feet.

Utilizing Pinterest’s inherently visual and shareable platform, we hope to restimulate volunteerism and make further progress in the post-Sandy recovery effort. A first for New York Cares, the largest volunteer organization in New York City, the organization will curate the numerous ways for followers to step up and help get our communities back on their feet!

We would love you to tweet / Facebook / Pin or post about to help to draw attention to the cause!
